Pastor Jack Zumwalt
Jack Zumwalt was raised by two loving Christian parents with an Air Force background. His family homeschooled him while living in various locations, including Wyoming, Japan, and Illinois. After high school, he joined the Marine Corps, began his undergraduate studies, and eventually started a career as a police officer.
While working as a police officer, Jack met and married his wife, Kathy. The Lord has blessed them with five children. After ten years of law enforcement service, Jack was called into the pastorate at his local church and now serves as the pastor at Hillsdale Bible Church. He is a graduate of The Master’s Seminary and loves his Lord, his family, and his church.
Elders
Dr. Jeff Hoffsommer
Jeff Hoffsommer is a fourth-generation native of Hillsdale. He grew up attending Hillsdale Bible Church and returned with his family in 1995. After earning degrees from Oklahoma State University and the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine, Jeff returned to the area, where he has practiced both emergency and family medicine for the past 35 years.
Jeff met his wife, Sue, at Western Bible College, and they have been happily married for 44 years. Their family continues to grow, now with seven children and 22 grandchildren. Together, Jeff and Sue have dedicated over 30 years of service at Hillsdale Bible Church, where they have been actively involved in teaching Sunday School, participating in the choir, and contributing to a wide range of church activities.
Bill Foster
Bill is a retired US Navy pilot who has been a flight simulator instructor at Vance AFB in Enid, OK for 25 years. He has 3 sons and 13 grandchildren. His wife of 48 years, Judy, and his daughter, Sarah, are with the Lord.
He gave his life to Christ at a Promise Keepers Convention in 1995. His faith continues to be strengthened daily. He has been attending Hillsdale Bible Church for 5 years. He loves singing in the choir & teaching Sunday School.
Steve Hoffsommer
I am a lifetime resident of the Hillsdale community and have had the privilege to attend Hillsdale Bible Church my entire life. After graduating from Kremlin-Hillsdale High School in 1971 I attended Oklahoma State University where I earned a degree in Education. While in college, I married my high school Sweetheart, Brenda.
Over the past 50 years I have served in the capacity of teacher, coach, and school administrator. I joined the Gideons International 2005 and have been an active member of the Enid Camp where I have been involved in jail/prison ministry as well as public school Bible distributions.
Brenda and I have been so privileged that our two daughters, their husbands, and our four grandchildren all live in the Hillsdale community. What a blessing it is to gather with our children and grandchildren each Sunday morning to worship together at HBC!
